115 Key Principles for Success

Principle 67 - Write it down

If you have an idea, write it down.

If you have a story, write it down.

If you have things to do, write them down.

According to author Jeff Gitomer, writing was a key that brought him success.

By writing, you get the clutter out of your head. This enables you to have new thoughts and make new connections.

Recently, I've not only been writing it down but I've been putting my writings into book format. This way I can share this knowledge, ideas, and principles with others.

If you write don't wait for the perfect sentence to be formed. Just get it down on paper. No one has to see it except for you. You can go back and fix it later.

Writing helps you solidify your ideas. Writing does take practice but my key point here is to get the thoughts, ideas, stories, fears or whatever out of that brain of yours so you're free to create, change and get your ideas into action.

Some things to write:
  • To-do list
  • Blog post
  • Document a process
  • Tweet
  • Keep a notepad, notebook or index cards around
  • Your history
  • Your goals
  • Your ideas
  • A book
  • An article

Writing can help you organize your thoughts.

Get feedback. Take a class. I've said enough. Go write something.
