115 Key Principles for Success

Principle - Disagree with someone's idea

I meet a guy walking his dog and he's a NY Ranger fan and I'm a NY Islander fan.

We get to talking about hockey and the guy doesn't shut up. Too much me me me mee.

So I tell him about an idea of mine for them to play hockey 4 on 4. He right away shoots it down. This is not a way to get someone to like you and liking is persuading. A better strategy would be to say "That's really good idea, how did you come up with it?" I would've been his best friend. But now I think he's too full of himself.

Today's lesson is to agree with idea's and suggestions.  Try to be honest. There may be holes in the idea but you will never get liking points for pointing them out.

I also remember a friend who after telling him I will go to the gym 3 times a week he said "No you won't." Never burst someone's dreams or contradict "I will ..." statements.
