I have to email a manager to let them know what I'm doing. But this manager doesn't read my emails or reply to me. So I use a Negative Acknowledgement Email.
This way if Bob doesn't get back to me I'm good to go, because I have proof. If I asked "can you approve this change?" then I have to keep following up with it. You could also write "If I don't hear back from you, I'll assume you're okay with this" This is a more dangerous strategy because they might not like this. I'll leave it up to you what you feel is best. |
