114 Key Principles for Success

Principle 34 - Action

"Actions speak louder than words"

"Without action you have nothing," - Law of Action

Our time on the Earth is pretty short. Use this knowledge to overcome any fears you have. What action you take won't matter in 100 years, so take the action you're hesitating on now

When filming a movie, you hear the director call "Action!" The acting starts. Put a body in motion tends to stay in motion and a body at rest tends to stay at rest.

If you're not getting the success you want then take action.

What action should you take? If you're stuck then any action is better than no action.

Can't decide? Make a list of 10 things you could do and then randomly select one of them and do it for 5 minutes. If something happens then great. If nothing just repeat the process.

Once you get in the habit of taking action, start focusing on your MIT (Most Important Task). If you do this task success is closer. If you don't do it then success is just a dream.

Fear is usually what stops action. You'll never be 100% ready so take action as soon as possible. If you've taken the wrong action you can always correct and change course. There is common knowledge with pick-up artists that if you want to talk to someone do it within 3 seconds.

If you want to learn almost anything you must dive in and take action.

Whether swimming, biking, driving, juggling. You must do. It might not be perfect but you're not God so don't expect perfection. God if you're reading this book forgive me.

So stop laying around. Take that small, easy first step. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Put down this book and take action.

Book 2 Action (B2A)

If you read a self-help book that has good advice you need to take action on its suggestions.

Action can tell you something about your goals. Was it enjoyable, painful? How did going for the goal make your feel? Overwhelmed? Happy? When reading a book make a list of actions to take. Prioritize the list, and take the first action. If you're having trouble deciding on an action then just randomly select one and do it. Create two lists of small actions and big actions. Work on the small actions to get the ball rolling. Once you get that momentum going you will be hard to stop.

Small Actions

Taking a small action is better than no action. Any action can create momentum. Believe that a small actions can help. Imagine yourself taking one small action you need to take.
You've already taken action. You acquired this book, you're reading this chapter.

You've taken some action but you also need corrections. Action without correction will not get you success.

Success comes from taking those actions and making your corrections over and over again.
