115 Key Principles for Success

Principle 104 - Fasting

Fasting or abstinence from food appears to have health benefits. It's been done for centuries. There could be some danger from fasting if you're taking insulin for example. Note that this isn't medical advice only a doctor can provide that.

Fasting at first seems very difficult or maybe impossible. But you can ease into it. First, delay your first meal or breakfast with the goal of having an eating window of 6 - 8 hours and a fasting window of 16 - 18 hours.

I try to eat my first meal after 12 noon and my last meal by 8 PM. Then some days I eat my first meal at dinner time.

The weird thing about fasting is that I'm less hungry than when I eat. Crazy right! The book that helped me the most is Jason Fung's The Complete Guide to Fasting
